Shelly Anderson
Recipient of Sheila Forsner Award
Shelly's daughter, Jenni Lynn, was killed by a drunk driver in 1997. Her two friends,
Jennifer Roberts and Allison Matzdorf, all from Waubonsie High School, were killed in the
crash with her. A billboard was designed that delivers a powerful message to the community
in order to raise awareness of the tragedy that results from impaired driving. Representing
AAIM, Shelly has spoken out about the dangers of drinking and driving at high schools,
victim impact panels, business meetings, press conferences and public forums. Shelly is
totally dedicated to prevention by advocating on behalf of AAIM. His professionalism and
belief that DUI is a serious crime has driven him to devote his time and energy to this cause.
Shelly lives in Naperville with his
wife Pam and has a daughter Kerri who was recently married.
Shelly Anderson continuous support
and life-saving efforts make him a worthy recipient of this Award. AAIM salutes this wonderful man.
