BENEFITS RAISE MONEY FOR NEEDY VICTIMS |
SUNDAY,
OCTOBER 24, 2004, NOON,
AT MAGGIANO’S RESTAURANT IN SCHAUMBURG
AAIM’s
benefit, its major fundraising event of the
year, has raised over $400,000 since its inception
in 1991. Because of the generosity of AAIM’s
supporters, AAIM continues to help victims of
drunk driving tragedies with emotional support
and financial assistance. Many victims suffer
financial devastation because the drunk drivers
responsible for their loss or injuries were
either uninsured or underinsured motorists.
Secretary of State Jesse White, the Honorary
Chairperson for the 1999 event held at the Chicago
Ritz Carlton Hotel, said, “AAIM is an
outstanding Illinois organization. They are
a group of advocates and volunteers who have
worked tirelessly against impaired driving since
1982. And, they have had a major impact in our
state.” Alan Krashesky, Channel 7 news
anchor, has served served as master of ceremonies
for the past 14years that the event has been
held. Will County State’s Attorney Jeff
Tomczak is this year’s honorary chairperson.
At this event AAIM recognizes Illinois “Top
Cops” for their life saving efforts. Advertising
is sold for our program book, raffle tickets
are sold, and a silent auction is held, all
of which raise much needed funds.
