Walk 5k for Caitlin
The 8th annual walk to help raise money for a Larkin High School scholarship program and drunk driving awareness through AAIM took place June 18, 2011 at St. Thomas Moore School in Elgin.
A drunk driver killed Caitlin Weese in May of 2003. One week before graduating from Larkin High School in Elgin and just three weeks before her 18th birthday.
On September 4, 2004, hundreds of family, friends and neighbors attended the first annual 5K Walk held in Elgin in memory of Caitlin. The walk was a huge success and the family hopes that it will grow over the years.
