We are excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming AAIM to Make a Difference 5K — Family Fun Race. This event is more than just a race; it’s a community celebration that supports road safety and honors loved ones lost or affected by reckless driving. It’s also an opportunity to recognize, appreciate, and partner with the dedicated law enforcement agencies, court personnel, and victim advocates who tirelessly work to prevent these tragedies and seek justice.
Event Details:
Date: August 30, 2026
Location: Mallard Lake Forest Preserve, Schick Rd., Hanover Park, IL.
(Mallard Lake entrance is on Schick Road 0.4 miles west of Gary Avenue)
Registration:
Register by 08/10/2026 to guarantee a T‑shirt.
• Adults: $30 (includes T‑shirt; XXL+ $5 extra)
• Children 12 & under: $20
• Children 3 & under: Free (T‑shirt $20)
• Customize your T‑shirt in honor of your loved one (Custom shirts must be ordered by 08/10/2026.)
Schedule:
• 8:00 AM — Registration opens
• 9:00 AM — Race & walk begins
• 10:30 AM — Awards & race-place prizes
• 11:00 AM — Raffles & live music
• 11:30 AM — Wrap-up & community celebration
Refreshments:
Fresh fruit, water, granola bars, and bagels provided
Everyone is welcome — run or walk solo, or form your own team. If you pick up your shirt early, you can customize the back yourself. If you'd like to submit a picture of a loved one, it will be ready at the walk for you to pin to the front of your shirt. The AAIM logo and submitted pictures will appear on the front of the race bib holder. Formats accepted: .ai, .svg, .png, or .jpeg; resolution at least 300 DPI. Number of photos requested: Submit your photo and the number you are requesting to info@aaim1.org.
Deadline to submit photos: August 10.
